Who we are

This website is run by chargeMOD Energy Pvt. Ltd. (“chargeMOD”, “we”, “us”), a subsidiary of BPM Power Private Limited. chargeMOD builds EV charging hardware, software, and network services. For the personal information described here, chargeMOD is the Data Fiduciary: we decide why and how it is processed, and we are responsible for it.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, plus a small amount of technical data needed to run the site securely:

• Contact enquiries. When you submit the contact form we collect your name, phone number, email address, city, state, and preferred language, and whether you ticked the optional box to receive product news.
• Job applications. When you apply for a role we collect your name, email, phone number, any résumé or portfolio links you provide, and your message.
• Technical data. To protect our forms from abuse we briefly process a hashed form of your IP address for rate-limiting. Like any website, our servers and the providers listed below also receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests a page or file.

Cookies & local storage

This website does not set cookies for visitors, and it does not use analytics, advertising, or session-recording tools.

• Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, we save that choice in your browser’s local storage under the key theme. It never leaves your device, and nothing is saved until you use the switch.
• Staff sign-in. Our team receives one strictly necessary session cookie when signing in to the site’s admin area. Visitors never receive it.

If we ever add tools that use cookies or similar tracking, we will ask for your permission before they run and update this policy first. You can clear stored preferences at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

How we use it

• To answer your enquiry. You give us your details so we can respond, so we use them for that and nothing else.
• To send product news and offers. Only if you tick the optional box on the contact form. It is never needed to get a reply, and you can withdraw it at any time.
• To consider job applications for the role you applied for.
• To protect the website against spam, fraud, and automated abuse.
• To remember your display preference, as described above.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

Who receives it

We share personal information only as needed with:

• Service providers. Our hosting and database providers store form submissions for us, and any customer-relationship tool we use to manage enquiries processes them for us under contract. They may not use your information for their own purposes.
• OpenStreetMap Foundation. The charger map on /chargers loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, so your browser sends them your IP address and the page address. Their privacy policy applies to that request.
• Amazon Web Services. Partner logos on /partners load from Amazon S3, which receives your IP address in the same way.
• Sites you choose to visit. Google Play, the App Store, and Google Maps receive information only when you follow a link to them.

Some of these providers operate outside India. Any transfer follows Indian law. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users’ safety.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only while we need it for the purpose you gave it for, then delete it:

If you withdraw consent or ask us to erase your information, we delete it sooner, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

• Access a summary of the personal information we hold about you, and who we have shared it with.
• Correct, complete, or update information that is wrong or out of date.
• Erase information you no longer want us to keep.
• Withdraw consent to product news at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before, and you will still get replies to your enquiries.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to act.
• Raise a grievance with us, and then with the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.

To use any of these rights, email hello@chargemod.com, ideally from the address you used with us, so we can verify the request. You can also ask for this policy in English or any language listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India.

Send privacy questions, requests, and grievances to our privacy team at hello@chargemod.com. We will acknowledge your message and resolve it as quickly as we can, and within 90 days at most.

Security

We protect information with HTTPS, a password-protected admin area limited to our team, and rate limits on every form. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

Children

This website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please don’t submit our forms. A parent or guardian can contact us for you instead.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and highlight material changes on this page. If a change affects something you consented to, we will ask you again.
